Amanda Summer: Archaeologist and Writer

Amanda Summer is an archaeologist and writer.
She has excavated in Greece on the island of Ithaka with an international team in search of the palace of Odysseus. In 1999 she joined the Iklaina Archaeological Project in Pylos, where their team is in the process of excavating a Mycenaean palace. Born on Wright Patterson Air Force base, Amanda was raised in Italy, England and the United States. She has a degree in History from Macalester College and a M.A. in Classical Archaeology from Washington University in St. Louis.
